About

Hello. This is moi. I live in Tasmania, an island off the bottom of Australia where the air is very clean and there’s still a lot of wilderness. I’m married to a nice man I met in a library. I’m a writer, editor, sewing-while-listening-to-podcasts lover, so-so artist, and grandmother.

The Waiting Room Cafe is about telling everyday stories that help me find my meaning and purpose in life. There’s a lot of serendipity about the signposts that can appear to guide us on our journey. Writing helps me stop, notice, and reflect on them.

I’m the author of ‘The Snake Around My Heart: A Memoir of Adoption and Rediscovery’, which is available as a Kindle ebook on Amazon. Writing this book helped me process all the big, messy, wonderful, and painful parts of my life.

I’m passionate about encouraging and helping others to tell their stories.

"Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards."
- Soren Kierkegaard
